Sintang

Sintang is a kecamatan (district) in Sintang Regency and is also the capital of the Regency. Sintang town is located in the confluent of two opposing stream of Kapuas River and Melawi River. The name Sintang means the opposing stream.
Sintang Regency itself has a population of about 377,243 in 2014 with area of about 21,638 km2.
